The shapes of silence

There are landscapes that say very little at first glance, but reveal something when we stay with them.

Here, sunlight catches a section of the mountains while the rest of the landscape falls into shadow. The contrast creates a visual separation between what is visible and what remains hidden.

I began to think about those quieter periods in life when opportunities seem distant and the future is difficult to see. Yet somewhere beyond the darkness, there is often a glimpse of something new.

Sometimes all we need is enough light to recognise that it exists.

In view are the famous peaks of the High Atlas Mountains, where layers of rock have preserved fossils and enormous footprints of sauropods, the giant long necked dinosaurs that once roamed this region when it was a lush, tropical forest.
