An ordinary miracle

Nature has a way of creating its own routes.

Captured in Niger State during a warm sunrise, this photograph uses a slow shutter speed to soften the movement of the river and reveal the reflections of light across its surface. A line of stones creates a natural passage through the water.

It is an ordinary scene, but one that offers an extraordinary possibility: a way to the other side.

The image reminds me that opportunities do not always arrive in obvious forms. Sometimes they appear quietly, almost by accident, and we only recognise them when we stop long enough to look.
