Paths
Before stone and steel, there was simply the will to cross.
Every path begins with someone willing to take it.
This photograph captures fishermen from the Argungu Fishing Festival crossing a passage they have created towards the starting line. There is no grand structure connecting the two sides.
The image holds a personal meaning for me. Landscape and nature photography can often feel like a lonely road, particularly when it sits outside the expected path of photography in Nigeria.
But every path begins somewhere.
Sometimes all that exists at the beginning is the will to cross.
