Some places remain unseen simply because they are hidden.

This landscape reveals a small settlement tucked quietly between the hills called the mountain oasis city of Tinghir. The surrounding terrain almost protects it from view, while the composition creates a natural path for the eye to discover the town within the landscape.

For me, the photograph speaks to the role of photography itself.

A camera can carry a place beyond its physical location. It can introduce a landscape to someone who may never have known it existed.
