At The Edge of Wonder

The longest bridge I crossed was into stillness.

Sometimes the most important part of a journey is simply stopping.

After travelling through the landscape of Scotland, I found myself beside these ruins, taking a moment to sit with the place rather than simply photograph it.

The photograph is as much about stillness as it is about the landscape. There is a quietness in the frame that asks us to slow down and consider what a place can hold when we give ourselves enough time to experience it.

Some crossings take us somewhere. Others simply bring us back to ourselves.
